Serving on the Board is a meaningful opportunity to help guide the Chamber’s future and strengthen the Southern Boone business community. Board members champion local businesses, support growth, and help ensure the Chamber remains a valuable resource for its members.

Application Details

  • Available positions: 3

  • Application deadline: October 31, 2026

  • Term of service: January 1, 2027–December 31, 2029

  • Board meetings: The second Thursday of each month at 5275 W. Redtail Dr., Ashland, MO. Networking is from 7:45–8:15 a.m., followed by the board meeting from 8:15–9:15 a.m.

  • Committee participation: Board members who join a committee may have additional meeting or event commitments as committees form and their needs evolve.

  • Selection process: The committee will review applications and make recommendations to the Board. The Board will vote on recommended candidates at its November 12, 2026 meeting. Applicants will be notified of the outcome following the meeting.

Candidate Requirements

Each candidate must:

  • Be a current Chamber member in good standing.

  • Commit the time and effort needed to fulfill the responsibilities of Board service.

  • Have completed a one-year break before reapplying if they have already served two consecutive three-year terms.

Stay Involved

Applicants who are not selected are encouraged to stay involved through committees and monthly meetings. They may also be contacted if a selected applicant declines a position or future Board needs arise.
