When Superior Blessings opened its doors in August 2020, it wasn’t to ride a trend or respond to a crisis. Rather, it was the culmination of over 25 years of healthcare, human resources, and recruiting experience paired with a powerful calling: to help people transform their lives.
Founder and CEO Jennifer Feltner had already served as HR manager for multiple long-term care facilities when she began to notice a frustrating pattern: brilliant, compassionate people eager to work in healthcare were being blocked by systemic barriers; lack of financial resources, training access, or even just guidance on where to begin. Rather than accept that, she built something better.
Superior Blessings was created to break down those barriers and to recruit, educate, and place individuals not only into jobs but into purpose-driven careers. From CNA and LPN training to clerical, custodial, food service, maintenance, and more, Superior Blessings now staffs across both the private and public sectors, providing quality support in multiple industries across Missouri, but staffing is truly just the beginning.
In just five years, the company has funded the education and certification of nearly 20 individuals—entirely self-funded—through the Falcon Scholarship Program. Participants have become CNAs, CMTs, LPNs, food service workers, and more, often transitioning from homelessness or unemployment into stable careers with real upward mobility.
Superior Blessings has become more than job placement agency. It’s now a thriving workforce development corporation with a heart. Whether it’s helping individuals access free housing during work assignments, partnering with correctional facilities to provide second chances to reentering citizens, or simply being the kind of employer everyone wishes they had, the company operates on the principle that people come first.
“I treat people the way I always wanted to be treated as an employee,” says Jennifer “That means being real with them, being transparent, and helping them succeed personally and professionally.”
What Sets Them Apart
Today, Superior Blessings has expanded far beyond healthcare. They now serve diverse staffing needs for clerical, general labor, custodial, and food service roles—and they continue to grow. With a background in strategic recruiting across nearly every industry, this company doesn’t just fill positions, they build futures.
Based in Columbia but proudly connected to the Southern Boone community, Jennifer moved her family to Ashland to provide a better educational environment for her daughter and quickly fell in love with the area’s spirit. “Ashland’s Chamber is more than welcoming; it’s realistic, supportive, and truly invested in small businesses,” she shares.
If Jennifer’s story had a soundtrack, it would be the Rocky anthem—the one that plays as he charges up the steps, relentless and unshaken. That’s the energy she’s carried since day one. But her climb wasn’t cinematic, it was real. Every step was uphill, every win hard-earned, and every move forward made not just for herself, but for others. As a single mother, a relentless entrepreneur, and a fierce second-chance advocate, she built her future from grit and now she’s helping others do the same.
